Hitendra Mishra

Cinematographer, Filmmaker, Storyteller

Hitendra Mishra is a Mumbai-based Cinematographer graduated from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata.He has always been a curious child, and his love of stories led him to pursue a career in filmmaking.

Notably, he was selected as one of the 75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow by NFDC. Hitendra gained recognition with the film he made at IFFI'23, which also had its screening at the 18th MIFF 2024 and the 26th UK Asian Film Festival 2024 also his documentary "Making of Desire" won 2nd Best Documentary Award at Symbiosis International Film Festival '23, which is also selected in Best of India Short Film Festival '24.

After graduation, Hitendra worked as an assistant director of photography (DOP) with The Viral Fever (TVF), where he assisted in making number of web series  for different streaming platforms. He gained valuable experience working with different Directors and he learned the art of creating visually stunning images that tells stories.

He comes from a defence background, which meant that he moved around India frequently as a child. This gave him a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of Indian culture and to meet people from all walks of life. He draws inspiration from his childhood experiences while creating visual narrative.

Hitendra's mission is to create films that celebrate the diversity of human experience and that inspires audience to see the world in new ways.
